4-Day/3-Night School Trip to the Garden of France from £329 per pupil
A school trip to the Loire Valley is an ideal way for your class to experience the finer points of French life and culture.
We have created this simple itinerary which allows schools to acquaint themselves with some of the very best features of this beautiful region – known as ‘The Garden of France’ – in as little as four days. Don’t forget, this is just a sample itinerary – all Euroculture School Tour packages are bespoke and arranged to the unique requirements of each group. To organise your school trip to the Loire Valley please do not hesitate to email us at email@example.com or complete our web enquiry form or simply call us on 01603 300 380 quoting LV4.
Travel by Executive Coach and Eurotunnel or Ferry to France to arrive at your Loire Valley residential centre to check-in in time for dinner.
After breakfast you will board your coach with a packed meal for a full day out. You will head first to the region’s capital city of Tours to experience one of its many daily markets. As well as a bustling shopping centre, Tours has its own fine heritage to enjoy with the impressive cathedral, fine arts museum and the popular Place Plumereau – its half-timbered houses providing a fine backdrop for the square’s many cafés and restaurants.
You will then move on to the glorious and historic town of Amboise, once home to the French Royal Court. After a break to eat your packed lunch, you will enjoy a one hour guided tour of the imposing Château Royal – built high on the bank overlooking the River Loire itself – before spending time exploring its fine gardens.
From Amboise, you will move on to Chisseaux where you will board La Gabare, a traditional flat-bottomed boat. The 50-minute cruise on the River Cher will provide you with an amazing vantage of the famously picturesque Château de Chenonceau before returning in time for dinner and evening activities at your residence.
After breakfast, your group will depart to spend a full day at the region’s premier attraction – Futuroscope. Located near Poitiers, the ‘intelligent theme park’ offers a unique experience for any school group with four educational themes – ‘Time Travel’, ‘World Unity & Diversity’, ‘The Secrets Behind the Images and Senses’, ‘Science and Experiment’. Discovery Packs are available in English, but Guides can also be arranged to accompany your group and help make the most of your visit.
After breakfast, you will board your coach with a packed meal for the journey home. There will be breaks on your way back to the port and, if time allows, we may also be able to schedule a brief shopping trip at a French Hypermarket on route before crossing the Channel to arrive back at school later in the evening.
This tour is offered from as little as £329 per pupil based upon 44 pupils travelling with 5 Teachers free of charge.
